The St Gotthard has a very good location for sightseeing, restaurants and shops (but no lake views). Another option would be the Steigenberger, which is also across a street from the lake, but that street is quite a busy road and it could be noisy
The closest you can get is the Baur au Lac, which does have a lovely spot right across the street from the lake, but it is quite expensive. I live in Zurich, and there aren't any hotels on the lake.
